Altair’s Jungle Safari Theme Birthday Party
We attended Altair’s 1st birthday party last week. I had to plan for my son’s safari-inspired costume at least one week ahead. Full body animal costumes can be uncomfortable to wear especially for babies and toddlers so I decided on a Safari Adventurer outfit. I rummaged through his closet and found the perfect costume. I’m fortunate to have such generous aunts and uncles because they’ve given Zaiel a full 4 or 5-year supply of clothing. In almost 3 years, I think I’ve only spent less than PhP 5,000 for his clothes.
The khaki polo shirt, brown shorts, and brown leather shoes are his own, so I only had to buy props like hats and binoculars. My son doesn’t like wearing a hat so I had to take it off the list. The overall expense was less than a hundred bucks for the toy binocular. You can get them at major toy stores.
The invitation is cute and unusual. It’s a plastic container with rolled paper invites for the details and the location map. It also comes with a furry animal coin purse inside.
The jungle-inspired stage backdrop is the main attraction.
The ceiling was decorated with balloons and hanging vines to add to the forest vibe.
The Safari birthday cake and the cupcake tower display in one corner.
Safari Birthday Cake: 2-tier fondant cake in animal prints with adorable miniature animals.
My son enjoyed the Jungle Snack Bar filled with candies and goodies. Stuffed toys make cool table decors.
We got to take home these yummy red velvet cupcakes with buttercream icing.
Thank you Altair Jaden! 🙂
