Skin Food Pedicure Vita 04 in Blue Sapphire is my first Skin Food nail polish bottle. I don’t usually buy expensive ones (PhP 100 – PhP 400) but the color’s just too good. I got mine from SM North EDSA for Php 300 bucks a loooong time ago (yes, this post is just one of my blog backlogs.. I call them “bloglogs”).
 
I’m on the 13th week of my pregnancy (basically in the 2nd trimester) and I’m now ready to have my nail makeovers. I tried to stay away from mani-pedi sessions during the first 3 months. Why? Because nail polishes may contain toxic chemicals such as Toluene, Formaldehyde, and Phthalates that may enter the bloodstream through the nails and harm the developing fetus. The 1st trimester is the most critical developmental stage of the fetus so I wait for a few months before I do my nails. I also check the labels and now I’m searching for organic nail lacquers.
 
 

Skin Food Pedicure Vita 04 has a cool, candy-ish blue shade. It appears to brighter and lighter in color outdoors. Two coats are enough but sometimes I apply a third coat to make it darker.

The SkinFood Pedicure Vita collection boasts of yummy, candy-colored nail paints. I wanted to take home all of them but my penny-pinching self won’t let me. 🙂
