Rajo Laurel, a world-class Filipino designer collaborates once again with SM footwear brands Parisian and Milanos. The 2 exclusive collections were inspired by the Japanese culture, and Rajo took the Oriental flair to the next level during its launch last September 25 at the SMX Convention Center. The much awaited collaboration comeback has been very successful, making a buzz in the fashion world.

Rajo Laurel has been known for his chic and elegant couture collections. He had styled a lot of actresses and fashionistas in the local showbiz industry and also rocked the international style scenes. His collaboration with SM allowed him to discover his talent even further, taking the Japanese culture as a point of reference for both collections. He explained that he’s in love with “the graphic qualities of their traditional garb, the intricate art of the obi, the deep romanticism associated with the kimono and of course the zen balance of the modern Japanese aesthetic.”

The Rajo for Parisian collection features adventurously stylish wedges, boots, flats, and heels for women while the premier Rajo for Milanos collection introduces dapper casual and dress shoes for men.

I have my eyes on the red Sakura, the purple Kabuki, and the black Obi. I regret that I was exclusively invited but wasn’t able to attend the launch. 🙁 Hopefully, this won’t be the last collaboration.
