We went to Quezon Memorial Circle a few weeks ago for some family time and it was also the first time that we visited the Presidential Car Museum or Museo ng Pampangulong Sasakyan.
It was opened to the public just last year so if you haven’t been there yet, here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll see inside.
Admission / Entrance Fee: Presidential Car Museum entrance fee is FREE. 🙂 Yes, you don’t need to pay but there’s a donation box by the entrance.
Schedule / Operating Hours: The Presidential Car Museum is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 8AM to 4PM.
Inside the museum are vehicles that are used by former Philippine presidents during their term of office, from Manuel L. Quezon to Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
The President of the Philippines is the most powerful person in the country.. Hence, it is appropriate that his car reflects the value his position holds — the best in terms of security, privacy, convenience, and luxury equal to the dignity of his office and respect given to him by the nation and the international community. The requirements to transport the President safely to his destination continues to evolve as different threats to his security arise.
– Presidential Car Museum
This museum is a must-visit for car enthusiasts. I adore vintage cars. I’m not a collector nor a car enthusiast.. gusto ko lang ng vintage cars because they look classy. 🙂
The cars were all restored to their original condition.
The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) has the mandate to maintain the collection of presidential cars. These cars – the earliest dating to 1924 – have been carefully repaired and restores by the Commission since 2008. Prior to the construction of this museum in 2016, many of the presidential cars were kept by their families before they were donated to the Commission and exhibited in various locations.
It is the aim of this museum to preserve these vintage and classic cars for posterity as each vehicle provides an alternative perspective not only to the Philippine presidency but also to the history of the country.

You won’t get bored in this small museum kasi you’ll get busy with each of the car’s description. Hindi lang about cars actually; not only about the make but also about their contribution to our Philippine culture and history.
I love taking my kids to museums to help them develop a deeper understanding of our cultural and natural heritage.
We’ve only been to a few – The National Museum of Natural History, Museo ni Manuel L. Quezon, The Mind Museum, Upside Down Museum, ArtScience Museum, Madame Tussauds Singapore, Yexel’s Toy Museum, and Art in Island. I’m planning on going to Museo Pambata soon. 🙂
My favorite — Macapagal’s presidential car. Also the 1947 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 Limousine of former president Roxas.
There are also other vehicles of historic value that are on display such as Douglas MacArthur’s vehicle (1934 Cadillac V16 Transformable Town Car Cabriolet), car of Imelda Marcos (1960 Rolls-Royce Phantom V, Ramon Magsaysay’s 1943 Willys Jeep, Karwaheng Apacible, and Aguinaldo’s personal car.
A panoramic shot of the museum inside.
There’s a souvenir shop by the Exit. You can purchase memorabilia items such as magnets and cultural books.
What museum do you want us to visit next? 🙂
