2019 is not my best year, but it’s definitely one that I won’t forget.
I’m thankful that this year, my kids didn’t get admitted to the hospital. Nung 2018 sabay sila na-confine because of pneumonia, so they had their Pneumo shot this year and I updated their vaccine record. No cough, no fever after that. I’m so relieved na hindi na sila sakitin at tumaba pa sila.
My blog has been a continuous source of joy and income, and I hope that I get to improve it more by next year, including my blogging/writing skills. To my sponsors who I worked with this year, THANK YOU. You have been a blessing to my family.
Sa mga taong concerned lagi because I get depressed from time to time, thank you for always being there for me and for helping me find more reasons to be happy.
To my husband, I know it’s not easy living with both the light & the dark sides of me but you stayed and loved me despite all that — thank you and I love you. I hope year 2020 will be the best year for us.
To all friends & family who love my kids and give them gifts, thank you so much. May you also be blessed beyond measure.
My Top 10 in 2019
1. Hotel H20
We wanted to start the year with a mini adventure, so we had our first staycation as a family by January. It was made more fun by some side activities for the kids.
2. Reunited with BFF
We haven’t seen each other in a decade since she’s living abroad. I’m glad we had some catch-up time — tea time and chika time — even if it was short.
3. Parkour Workshop for Z
Was super excited for this new summer activity for Z — Parkour for Kids. The workshop was definitely one for the books.
4. N’s Birthday Party at RSCC
Last April, we celebrated my bunso’s birthday with the kids from the RSCC orphanage.
5. First Property
We’ve managed to secure a property and hopefully, we’ll soon be able to reach our next goals. It’s still a long way to get to where we want but I’m still proud our small wins.
6. Teppanya Anniversary Dinner
For our 10th wedding anniversary, we had dinner at a teppanyaki restaurant. It was our first time watching a chef cook food in front of us using a teppanyaki grill.
7. Ilocos Trip
We were invited to attend the golden anniversary of my tita and tito. It was just the two of us (no kids), plus a bunch of joyful relatives. I also visited our ancestral home for the first time.
8. Pets
In 2018, we had Junkrat, our Syrian hamster. Then last year, we also had a kitten (who gave birth to 3 kittens), a puppy, and 2 more hamsters before the year ends — Peanut and Nougat. 🙂 Run free Ashes and Matcha.. and Spark.. 🙁
9. Nanay’s Farewell
Our family matriarch said goodbye to all of us last August. One of the saddest chapters of my life. 🙁 Her life has been a great journey and I learned valuable life lessons from her.
She will forever be remembered and loved. Miss you Nay!
10. EcoModelo
Z joined their school’s EcoModelo competition. His eco-friendly costume was made of bubble wrap, jute strings, plastic hanger, balloons, etc. He won 1st runner up and Best in Talent. 🙂

Ang sarap ng Teppanyaki experience noh? I experienced that too last year and ang sarap ulitin, medyo mahal lang. I also lost my grandmother last year, it’s hard but we have to move on. Congrats on your new property and business ventures and wishing you more blog opportunities.
