We felt like having a major taste bud adventure when we were in SM North EDSA, The Block the other day. We dined at Mexicali Restaurant.
Mexicali specializes in Northern California-Mexican street food, such as tacos, burritos, and enchiladas. Also on the menu are quesadillas, fajitas, chili con carne, taco salads, combo dinner plates, a selection of delicious rice and grill plates, and even non-meat dishes vegetarians.
The word Mexicali is a combination of Mexico and California, and is the name of an actual town in Northern Mexico close to the California border.
Hubby ordered Mexicali’s Grilled Chicken Plate (Php 199). He’s not into Mexican food that much so he found this dish average-tasting.
This is my Mexican plate – baked [burrito] chicken with beans. Or should I say, baked beans with bits of chicken. If only there were more chicken inside. However, the taste was superb. Next time, I’ll be trying their tacos and burritos.
This wooden high chair matches the festive atmosphere of the restaurant.

Great! Thank you so much! 🙂 Rest assured that we will include your site watermark on it or there would be a link below the image and point it back to your site.
Have a blessed day,
Rachelle
Hi,
My name is Rachelle, I am working at streetdirectory.com Singapore.
We are currently giving away a free Webpage in PH (particularly for Restaurants/food chains).
May I ask permission to use your photos? Your blog’s URL (https://www.purplepieces.com/) will appear on the photo
with clickable link back to your blog.
We are going to get photos of the restaurant/establishment that are in your blogs.
For instance, Gerry’s grill is in your blog, then we will use Gerry’s grill’s photos to upload in Gerry’s grill free webpage.
Mostly food photos. Interior and exterior of the restaurant are also fine if available. And again your URL will appear on it.
I hope to get a reply from you soon.
Many thanks!
Rachelle (webpage team)
Sure, as long as you link back. Thanks!
