SM Supermalls, the country’s first and largest chain of shopping centers, welcomed the holiday season with a royal ball titled “The Princess in Me” last November 7 at SM City North EDSA. Me and my sister attended the grand launch and many were inspired to have a colorful & fashionable #MerrySMChristmas this year.

The event, in partnership with the iconic toy brand Barbie, showcased a display of rare and unique dolls. We were greeted by these gorgeous ladies dressed as barbie dolls and princesses. My sister could easily pass up as a princess too, whatcha think?

Royal Court Makeovers for Kids

So after the registration, my sister received her gift bag with a tiara and a treat inside. She was also given passes to 4 makeover stations – Hair Styling, Nail Art, Glitter Tattoo Art, and Face Painting.

There were already a lot of little princesses lined up at the stations, waiting for their turns. My sister told me that she had a great time getting pampered and then later thanked me for taking her to the event.

Since her recent obsession is Elsa from Frozen, the colors she chose were blue (except for the face paint).

Lighting of Couture Tree

The program started with the entrance of hosts Raymond Gutierrez and Denise Laurel. They welcomed guests to the celebration, and acknowledged the presence of the executives and cancer patients. We also witnessed the lighting of a majestic Christmas tree made of gowns, led by Kendra Kramer. Moreover, a special guest, Ms. Nikki Gil, performed a few of our all-time fave Christmas songs.

Princess Fashion Show

We were able to watch a fashion show featuring models in their pop princesses, party princesses, and fairytale princesses outfits. It was probably the best part of the event for me.

#MerrySMChristmas Campaign
