This summer 2016, Z and my sister L joined the McDO Kiddie Crew Summer Workshop. It was both their first time to attend McDo Kiddie Crew so they were super excited!
Registration Fee: PHP 650.00 (includes T-shirt, cap, chef’s hat, ID with lace, Apron, bag, workshop materials, certificate, and meals for 5 days)
Orientation Day
For the orientation day, the kids received their McDonald’s Kiddie Crew T-shirt, cap, apron, chef’s hat, ID with lace, and bag.
After the staff discussed the rules and regulations, they had a kitchen tour.
Day 1
Z was excited during their first day. He was taught how to take orders from customers plus some counter/cashier duties.
Day 2
More on-the-floor training. He’s short for his age so medyo ‘struggle is real’ sa kanya kapag nasa cashier siya. 🙂
Day 3
The highlight of Day 3 is the Cheeseburger Making Activity. Their group was taught how to assemble a cheeseburger. They had it as their meal afterward.
They also had an art activity using the McDonald’s activity booklet.
Day 4
Z learned how to take orders from the Drive-Thru window and organize some stuff. He was learning the value of teamwork and responsibility.
Day 5 – Last Day
Parang nalungkot ako ’cause it’s the last day. LOL.
The kids performed the Kiddie Crew theme song and Ronald Dance. After that they had parlor games and they were awarded with badges and certificates.
Z’s badges: Certified Kiddie Crew Station Trained, Certified Kiddie Crew Dancer, ‘I shared to help build a Ronald McDonald Bahay Bulilit, and Certified Kiddie Crew Artist.
