La Creperie, Vertis North

It has been ages since our last reunion, and I must say that childhood friends are the best people you can have in your life. We were seatmates during high school and our friendship grew from small talks to sharing juicy secrets and keeping in touch for years even after graduation.

Actually we were supposed to meet somewhere else, bandang south, but she decided to meet me at Ayala Vertis North. We’re both matakaw but because I had an event to attend in the evening, hindi kami nakapag-buffet dahil kukulangin sa time, LOL. Instead, we found ourselves enjoying an afternoon of tea and chika in La Creperie.

La Creperie is my kind of vibe — light and airy and very French. Yes, I once questioned the universe why I was born here in the Philippines instead of France, hahaha.

Vanilla Tea

We tried their Vanilla Tea and it didn’t disappoint. I’m a tea addict but I really haven’t tried a lot of variants, only the common ones such as green tea, oolong tea, chai, and my favorite English breakfast tea (at milk tea?). Parang I want to go on a tea adventure, start a blog about it, and immerse myself with anything and everything related to tea. Yeah, just one of my ideas na hindi na naman matutuloy. 🙂

Truffle Pasta

Of course, we had pasta. I can’t live without pasta and when I’m not cooking at home I make sure to order a pasta dish at least once every two weeks. Carbonara is always my top choice (I hate tomato sauces) but I think these days it’s the Truffle Pasta I’m craving for.

I liked the Truffle Pasta in Vanilla Cafe but this one’s also good! Kahit konti lang yung cream the flavor is really there and it gets better with every mouthful. It may look like a small serving in this photo but my bestfriend and I got to share this and we were so full afterwards. I’ll definitely go back for this!

Mango Strawberry Crepe

For dessert, we had Mango Strawberry Crepe. Medyo tunaw na yung ice cream sa photo kasi nagchikahan muna kami. What I love about crepes is that you get the feeling of eating more than 2 desserts — there’s the soft crepe, the filling or the toppings, and the ice cream. Fruits were served fresh so we enjoyed this one as well.

I’m already looking forward to our next reunion even though we know that it might happen in a decade pa. 🙁

Gift for BFF

I’m into lockets because aside from being pretty, they hold precious memories. I gave this one to her, a personalized locket necklace with charms. I personally chose the charms for her and they’re perfect because she’s a religious person. I have my own glass living locket as well.
