Last Friday I ordered Island Rose flowers to send my in-laws on Grandparents Day. It’s not everyday that I send them flowers, but on Grandparents Day I want them to feel remembered.

I was lucky to live with my grandma for several years until she passed away last month. 🙁 I used to give her flowers during special occasions because she creates floral arrangements and she’s also a gardener, so her eyes light up every time she sees a bouquet of blooms. I think nagmana ako sa kanya. I also do adore flowers, in fact, I want fresh flowers on our table everyday but yeah, it’s impossible hahaha. How I wish I live near Dangwa flower market. 🙂

I want my kids to understand the importance of having grandparents in their lives. They are the greatest spoilers of all time and their kind spirits never fail to touch our hearts. My in-laws live in the province so we only get to see them once or twice a year. So to let them know that they’re remembered, I started searching for a flower shop online that delivers nationwide.

The first flower shop that I checked is FlowerStore.PH. I ordered from them last month for my Nanay Pinay’s birthday and I liked their flowers. But they only deliver around Metro Manila. I checked out a few more flower shops but somehow the prices and the delivery locations won’t match. I can’t give up because before, I was able to send flowers, scratch that, a beer bouquet to my husband when he was in Australia for work. Australia nga nakapagpadala ako, dito pa kaya! 🙂

Then stumbled upon Island Rose PH — again. I visited their website last year and it was one of my options for Vday I think. It is a premier flower shop, meaning medyo pricey ang flowers, but I was really relieved that they have nationwide delivery.

It took me a few minutes to choose flowers that I will send.. and my choice is perfect because: a) It’s on the Deals section. It’s on promo, from PhP 2,838 to PhP 2,419. Yay!, b) I love white flowers. It represents grandparents’ pureness of heart, and c) The package comes with chocolates and a teddy bear.

They only deliver in Metro Manila during Sundays so I moved the date to Saturday, a day before Grandparents Day.

I was a bit worried when I placed my order because the address doesn’t include a house number. Sabi ng husband ko ganun daw talaga yung address nila dun, name of street or area lang. So goodluck sa delivery guy. LOL.

Medyo naligaw yung delivery guy but the flowers arrived safe and sound naman. 🙂 The flowers were delivered inside a special gift box. When I saw their happy faces sa photos, everything was worth it. 🙂 Thank you Island Rose Philippines! 🙂
