I’ve always loved the city – the busy streets, shopping malls, and night lights – but there’s this one thing that I can’t stand.. and that’s air pollution.
Metro Manila’s air pollution has been exceeding tolerable levels and people living in the city are having serious health risks. The question is, how can we contribute to a healthier, cleaner air?
Plants and trees help purify the air that we breathe so it’s best that we are surrounded by greenery even though we don’t have much space living in the city.
If you want to start growing your own garden in your homes but you have no idea how to start, The Philippine Horticultural Society Inc. or PHSI encourages you to experience HortiKultura 2018. As per the organization, you don’t need to have a “green thumb” or to be a plant expert to start growing your own garden at home.
The HortiKultura 2018 massive greenery festival will be held on February 2 – 11 in Quezon Memorial Circle. HortiKultura 2018 will showcase several gardening and horticultural practices in Manila to promote awareness and appreciation of plant life. There will be plant competitions, horticultural exhibits, workshops, and seminars.
For more information about the grand greenery event, read my previous blog entry HortiKultura 2018: Grow Local, Bloom Global Event or visit facebook.com/groups/phsihortikultura.
If you’re going to the event, you might see some plant species that may cost up to 2 million pesos! Mark your calendars and bring your plant-loving friends to experience one of the country’s widest greenery festival.
