So last April 2019, I finally placed an order subscription from Hamster Mail.
I only planned on getting one box just to try. I received a parcel notice almost 2 months after I placed my order and I claimed my package at the Post Office.
Hamster Mail Subscription Box
The hamster mail subscription box includes a minimum of 2 toys and 2 treats, so 4 items in total. The items will be a surprise. But you can add more items to your box when you visit the Add-Ons page. I added to the cart a purple crinkle tunnel.
Items inside the box change each month, so if you’re subscribed for like 3 months or up to a year, you’ll get a whole bunch of different items for your hamster by the end of your subscription.
I love that they included a postcard with details of each hamster product, the charity of the month, and a message from the Hamster Mail team.
Unboxing the Hamster Mail
I really get excited opening subscription boxes because you don’t know what you’re gonna get. I liked the element of surprise, and indeed, the box surprised me with hamster items that are not available in our local pet stores.
Trixie Rope Toy. Great for all hamster types. You can also find something like this on Shopee.
Shreddy Roller. Paper-type chew toy. My hamster loves harvesting this to make bedding.
Millet Bites. My Syrian hamster Junkrat ignores this but my newly adopted dwarf hamsters are crazy in love with this.
Alfalfa Dumbells chew treat with alfalfa and parsley stuffing. A favorite treat of my teddy bear hamster.
Rosewood Crinkle Activity Tunnel. It’s a boredom breaker and makes sounds when your hammie plays with it.
How much did I spend on Hamster Mail?
16 GBP – Hamster Mail Subscription
3 GBP – Rosewood Crinkle Activity Tunnel Add-on
2 GBP – Shipping to PH
Total: 21 GBP or PHP 1,391.77
Plus: PHP 115 (Post office fee)
Grand Total: PHP 1,506.77
If you live in PH, you may purchase similar items for your hammies, including custom hamster bins, at Little Ham Supplies store on Shopee.
