The 2012 Golden Globe Awards took over Hollywood last January 15. “The Artist” and George Clooney were among big winners of the night. “The Adventures of Tintin”, a Steven Spielberg film which hubby and I watched in 3D late last year, received the Best Animated Feature Film award. I’ll check out if Woody Allen’s “Midnight in Paris”, which won Best Screenplay, is worth seeing.
Unfortunately, Game of Thrones (nominated for Best Television Series – Drama) and Madeleine Stowe, “Revenge” (nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama) didn’t take home the prized statuettes.
Okay here we go, the best part of the event. LOL. I have a list of who, I think, rocked the red carpet and wowed the crowd during the 69th Golden Globe Awards.
Nicole Kidman in Versace
Nicole’s gown is a piece of art. The stud detailing makes the word perfection an understatement.
Emma Stone in Lanvin
This eagle-inspired dress is so far the best I’ve seen on her.
Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace
I’m surprised that she’s not wearing any of her usual black number. The overall look is simply stunning with those creamy, smooth lines and occasional pops of red.
Salma Hayek in Gucci
Salma already has the advantage for having a great bod but she absolutely, definitely, totally nailed this one.
Dianna Agron in Giles
I love the laser-cut bodice. Hands down!
Jessica Biel in Elie Saab Haute Couture
I don’t mind if she looks like a bride in the making. And well, yes she will soon be in a few months or so.
Julianne Moore in Chanel Haute Couture
When in doubt, wear black. Can you imagine she’s in her 50’s already?
Evan Rachel Wood in Gucci Premiere
This deep-V x peacock number is an eye-catcher.
Charlize Theron in Dior Couture
Her bad “red carpet” days are over. I find her cute and youthful in this blush Dior dress.
Paula Patton in Monique Lhuillier
The perfect shade of yellow by our very own Monique Lhuillier. Makes me happy just by looking at this sunshine-y frock.
Madeleine Stowe in custom Vera Wang
Here’s my Plus One. I fell in love with her in the TV series Revenge. I want to be like “Victoria Grayson” when I get old — powerful and gorgeous.
