The much-awaited summer tradition is here! For flip flop lovers out there, Make Your Own Havaianas 2014 is happening on May 8 – 11 (Thursday to Sunday) at the Glorietta Activity Center, Makati City. Make Your Own Havaianas is the biggest Brazilian flip-flops customization event in the country so don’t miss it!
The last MYOH I attended was way back MYOH 2011 (missed the last 2 years). I’m glad that I’m once again invited to this year’s private selling event on May 7. I had fun customizing and personalizing my own pair the last time so I’m sure all Havaianaticos are also looking forward to style their flip flops.
Havaianas pays homage to the streets of Brazil with its wide selection of Brazilian-inspired pins. Football, monkeys, chili, and even ‘caipirinhas’ (Brazil’s national cocktail) — there’s a pin for everyone. In the meantime while waiting for the Make Your Own Havaianas 2014 event, you may try to mix and match soles, straps, and pins online at myoh.havaianasphilippines.com.
This year’s limited edition commemorative pair has the Portuguese words for “joy” inscribed on colorful ‘bonfims’ or Brazilian wish ribbons. These ribbons are worn as a bracelet with 3 knots (for 3 wishes) and once it comes off, those 3 wishes will come true. You will receive your very own bonfim when you purchase a commemorative pair.
Again, MYOH 2014 will be on May 8 (Thursday) – May 11 (Sunday), from 10AM – 9PM on weekdays and 10AM – 10PM on weekends, at the Glorietta Activity Center. Use the #MYOH2014 on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
