This holiday season, Ensembles celebrates the 4th installment of its Young Designer Series with one of today’s most celebrated fashion designers, Chris Diaz.
 
 

 
 
Chris Diaz’s first step into the fashion industry was when he became a finalist in the 2002 MEGA Young Designers Competition. He has been labeled as a “Romantic” Designer because of his trademark fascination with feminine frills, lace and floral. Fashion design has been his passion since his high school years. After high school, he worked for a lace manufacturer that lead him to love laces.
 

The Ensembles x Chris Diaz collection pays homage to Diaz’s design aesthete – lace. The 17 piece collection  includes standout dresses and blazers, flattering tops in chiffon and poplin, dresses and skirts all grounded in different treatments such as lovely laces, color blocking and soft fabrics – representing a woman that is romantic and effortlessly chic. Working with Ensembles, Chris Diaz shared, “I’m very excited with this collaboration! There’s a lot for everyone – a balance of feminine silhouette and use of romantic element and a smart range of color blockings that will flatter everyone!”.

Romanticism takes center stage in the form of lace, soft fabrics and color blocking with Chris Diaz on board. Below are some of my picks from the lovely collection.

Ensembles’ celebrity endorser Carmina Villaroel adored the pieces from the collection, “I personally love the dress with lace panel but I super like the entire collection, from the colors selection, the design, the fabrics –versatile yet very sophisticated.” The theme of the collection – romanticism – suits her well. She is a woman of bliss and love. And her ultimate secrets? Her bubbly personality and a very happy family life with partner Zoren Legaspi and their kids. “I am very blessed I have the best of both worlds, a great family and career.”, she added.
