I got me and my sister personalized charm bracelets from a bead and clay store at SM North EDSA, Claymate. The charms are made with polymer clay.
Beading and accessory making was my first love when it comes to art. I used to create beaded jewelry as a hobby way back in college and sell them to my friends. I got interested with polymer clay projects in 2007 and even attended a polymer clay workshop by Claylettes. I miss those days when I had all the time in the world to nurture my artsy side.
In one corner there’s a Customize It area. You get to choose bracelet and necklace chains to hang those cute little charms.
They have a variety of chains to choose from. I picked out an old rose-colored chain (with thread wrapping) for my sister and mocha brown for me.
Miniature charms! I really do feel good when I’m surrounded by baubles and trinkets. That said, I’m going to Quiapo (my bead paradise) soon to indulge myself with crystals, beads, and charms.
Charms have different prices ranging from PHP 20 – PHP 100 each, depending on the design. Making a single charm requires a lot of creativity, dedication, and effort so I think the pricing is fair. I paid PHP 600 more or less for both polymer clay charm bracelets.
My sister’s bracelet. She loves pink as much as I’m in love with purple. There were no plain-colored charms so I just made sure that the colors complemented each other well. The donut, cookie, and cupcake charms look so yummy!
My mini cake charms in different shades. I intended to choose bright colors for good and happy vibes. My favorite is the blue cake roll charm.
Claymate also offers ready-made accessories and they have frequent sales. Their store concept by Creo Designs reminds me of a bakeshop.
Ear candies! These polymer clay stud earrings are too cute!
Metal chain necklaces with charms and beads.
