We were invited to Cartoon Network Rockstar Christmas Party at Robinsons Magnolia and it was a day full of fun and entertainment as kids got to showcase their talents, join different activities/games, and celebrate the holidays with their favorite Cartoon Network characters.
Since it was a rockstar party, I dressed up my kids as rockstars. I used Cospray hairspray color on Z’s hair para mas mukhang “cool”. 🙂 I like kiddie events because the kids get to dress up, socialize, and have lots of fun.
All the kids were encouraged to visit the booths and complete the activities in their passports. Z received freebies and special prizes after he participated in each booth’s activity.
Guests, throughout the event, were treated to performances by Cartoon Network mascots and they were joined by celebrity mom Camille Prats with son Nathan, Xia Vigor (remember her viral impersonation performance of Taylor Swift?), with special guest judges including Teacher Georcelle of G-Force, and Sienna ‘Ate Sienna’ Olaso (from Batibot and now Cignal’s Vice President for Programming and Channel Management.)
The highlight of the event was the search for the craziest and wildest talent. Talented kids showcased their “rockstar” skills and wowed the crowd. Some kids danced, played musical instruments, and even acted in front of all mall-goers.
8 year-old Marcus Rayden Cabais won the competition and was ultimately named the first-ever Cartoon Network Rockstar. He had such a powerful performance and his voice was amazing. His prize? An all-expense-paid trip for four to Cartoon Network Amazone waterpark in Thailand and a five-year talent management contract with Viva Artists Agency. Cool, right?
Hindi naman lugi ang iba pang kids. There were lots of raffle prizes and cool goodies to take home. Syempre kami, meron din! What’s more exciting for us was our photo opp with We Bare Bears characters — Grizz, Panda, and Ice Bear.
