Cafe Laferennie in Quezon City
When my cousin went home for a short vacation last year, we visited a unique cafe in Kamuning Quezon City — Cafe Laferennie: Sit, Eat, Sip, Enjoy!
Homey ang ambiance. We changed into slippers as soon as we entered the cafe.
I instantly fell in love with Cafe Laferennie. My first impression? So cute and artsy, inviting and comfortable. The walls are heavily decorated with quotes, sticky notes, and even letters!
While we were choosing our table on the second floor, we found more crib-style installments. Parang double-decked beds, but instead of beds there are low tables, soft pillows, and cuddly bear stuffed toys. Sa totoo lang nahirapan kami mamili ng table hahaha.
Seeing the bears (and there are A LOT of them) made me feel like a kid again. I can’t remember the last time I hugged a stuffed toy (kasi naman may allergic rhinitis ako haha) so parang nostalgia to the max when I grabbed a bear for myself.
Cafes and restaurants with toys and board games are becoming popular these days. It’s a great idea for me because families and friends can really bond and spend some quality time. Our favorites from the cafe are the Mad Dog toy and Jenga.
For book lovers, they have a bookshelf and yes, you may borrow a book while you’re there.
I can’t remember if we ordered a group meal, but I think we did. We had rice meals (Breakfast Sausage, Bangus Belly) and we also ordered burger with fries, and choco and candy waffles.
We were disappointed with our Onion Rings kasi they were overcooked and rock-hard. We complained to the staff and they replaced it right away. Thank you!
The place was filled with post-its, which makes it all the more interesting. There were notes from customers and I couldn’t help but take a photo of some of them. Maraming hugot notes actually, and we were so entertained nung nagbabasa kami. 🙂
We really enjoyed the unique atmosphere of Cafe Laferennie. The food was also good! Next time we’ll be ordering their out-of-this-world milkshakes. 🙂
This is such a lovely quaint cafe. The food looks delish. I love the slippers idea, although, I just hope they’d require everyone to wear socks, too, as you never know where the feet of those who wore them before you had been. It may be lurking with germs and whatnot and it is not too appealing. The books will be perfect for book lovers and the toys will be a big hit to children.
We also have a cafe like this here in our place but the space was too tight. The walkways can only occupy one person and it looks a little messy. Maybe it’s just me for I like clean or minimalist type. But the slipper station is great. I just hope they sanitize it for they are fur.
I like the idea that they are open for criticism and even gave you a new plate of onion rings .that is, for me, a real customer service. Love too that there are books and as if you will not be bored staying there. I just don’t like changing into slippers. I’ve read once that our feet carry the most number of germs next to our hands and mouth. So the idea of sharing germs isn’t for me.
Ha, from the looks of it, it seems like an IG hyped place. And would the food live up to that hype? Like what you said, it’s a bit of a disappointment. But really it’s a comfy nook.
it’s a pretty cute place to hang out. The thing about the slippers though, do you get to wear new slippers all the time or you get what is just displayed? Because I’m a bit of a germophobe. 😀 Or we can just get in and wear socks? hehehe nice place though. Thanks for sharing!
