I’ve only had a few guy friends in my entire life and one of them is a classmate/batchmate back in high school. We haven’t seen each other for a long time and we rarely kept in touch during those years, pero buti na lang we got to exchange comments in one of my FB posts and at last, I was able to meet his family — his wifey and son, last December. 🙂
It was late in the afternoon when the kids finished playing at Gymboree so we’ve decided to have an early dinner at Café Breton, Trinoma.
It was my first time at Café Breton so it took me a while to decide on what dish to get. I asked for their bestseller so I had Cheesy Chix with Asparagus (PhP 195) from the Savoury Favorites section. It’s a crepe filled with slices of chicken breast sauteed in onions, cheese sauce, and asparagus, then topped with grated mild cheddar. I was surprised that it’s actually heavy on the tummy and I was impressed with how the flavors create a savory and satisfying aftertaste. I’m also crazy about white sauces, cream, and cheese, so yeah, I really enjoyed this dish. 🙂
They also serve all-day breakfast meals. Z, my eldest, will devour anything with egg so he ordered Hearty Breakfast Plate (PhP 240) with ham or country bacon, eggs (sunny side up or scrambled), tomato provencal, buttered toast, and side salad. He finished everything on the plate (except for the salad) with a thumbs up.
My husband wanted burger instead of rice so he ordered Breton Mozzarella Burger (PhP 255). According to him, the all-beef and juicy burger patty (with a mozzarella surprise), topped with sauteed onions, mushrooms, and greens, was good. 🙂
We don’t usually order drinks when we dine out. We either ask for water or buy milk tea somewhere, but when you’re at a cafe, there’s no excuse not to get a coffee. Since my husband is a coffee addict, he tried Café Liegeois (Lee-Jwah) for PhP 140. It is a cold espresso with coffee ice cream topped with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.
It always feels good to be reunited with old friends over play dates, food, and coffee. Thank you J, J, and Z for such a wonderful bonding time. Well I should say ‘double’ thank you ’cause they insisted to pay for the restaurant bill, LOL. 🙂
Food looks so good!! Especially that burger. Uhhh getting hungrier just reading about it hehe. Good thing they have a branch near my work, will definitely try it out 😀
All food look awesome! I literally want to leave the house now and try that Breton Mozzarella Burger. Just like you, I also love anything that has white cream and lots of cheese so I guess Cafe Breton is the perfect spot for me. Thanks a lot for sharing!
Yes to cream and cheese! Thanks for visiting 🙂
It indeed feels good to meet old friends and also be able to finally meet his loved ones. I bet your stay at Cafe Breton was awesome.
That cafe is my Big Bunso’s favorite. He loves beautiful and gigantic drinks and burgers. Whenever we are at Trinoma, he would urge me to eat at Cafe Breton. This mom would oblige sometimes especially if we have a budget. Ehehehe.
I know the feeling! Konting lambing ng mga bata, give in na kaagad! And well, when it comes to food naman, okay lang mang-spoil 🙂
