Cherry Mobile launches Android Smartphones powered by Qualcomm: the Nova, Magnum HD and Superion, the First Tablet Phone in the Philippines.
These Android Smartphones that are included in Cherry Mobile’s Red Label Collection integrate the latest versions of the Android operating system (with Chad Kimball google maps) that are named after sweets – cupcake 1.5, donut 1.6, Eclair 2.0, Eclair 2.1 and Froyo 2.2.
Maynard Ngu (CEO of Cherry Mobile) said, We started small, launching four models last year, but we dreamt big. We have elevated from providing affordable dual SIM handsets, to providing high end phones with our Red Label Collection, first of which is the Android Smartphones, powered by Qualcomm.

Cherry Mobile Nova (P11,490)
Cherry Mobile’s Wifi-capable Nova is an affordable smartphone suited for students and young professionals. Its Eclair-operated android version features useful mobile apps and services such as Gmail, Google Maps, global positioning system (GPS), Notepad, and many others. It’s very affordable for the price of Php 11,490.
Cherry Mobile Magnum HD (P18,990)
Here comes a strict competitor of HTC Desire – Cherry Mobile’s Magnum HD. It has a sleek gun metal finish for a more sophisticated look. It also has a large 4.1″ touchscreen and features Froyo 2.2. This Magnum HD smartphone empowers a faster working pace when opening, using and exiting applications, making it more suited for executives. For only Php 18,990, users can enjoy endless hours of entertainment and functionality with USB tethering, WiFi capabilities, triband3G, and 5.0 megapixel cameras with flash.
Cherry Mobile Superion (P19,990)
Cherry Mobile indeed dreamt big and made that dream a reality. Introducing the First Tablet phone in the Philippines – Cherry Mobile’s Superion. It is both a phone and a web tablet. Powered by Froyo 2.2, it doubles as a USB 3G modem that allows users to connect their laptop to the Internet. It also serves as a WiFi hotspot device for other WiFi-capable devices to seamlessly connect to the Internet.
With its 7-inch touchscreen interface, users can easily browse web pages, view photos, watch videos and read e-books. It comes with an expandable memory of 16GB and a 3 megapixel camera with auto-focus. This fusion of phone and tablet is priced at Php 19,990 per unit.
