Virlanie Foundation – Help Our Babies Campaign
I always have a soft spot for babies and little children. I believe that they should be loved and cared for, ideally by parents and loved ones. That’s why whenever I come across some street children, I can’t help but feel pity and loneliness to the depths of my soul. Homeless babies and children deserve to experience the true essence of childhood, and deserve a chance to a better future.
Virlanie Foundation, a non-governmental organization (NGO), is a child-caring institution. Established in 1992 by Dominique Lemay, a French social worker, Virlanie cares for children in need of special protection – the poor, abandoned, abused, exploited, neglected, and orphaned babies and children. Its programs include residential programs, outreach programs, support programs, sustainability projects, and support services.
The BTH (Babies and Toddlers Home), one of Virlanie’s residential programs, houses 30 to 40 children aged 0 to 5 years old. Kids are provided their needs, including clothing, food, shelter, education (multiple learning experiences), and health & psychological care.
Their difficult financial position makes it a challenge for them to provide for all the children’s needs. So to address the issue, Virlanie recently launched its #HelpOurBabies campaign to raise funds for the BTH.
Let’s help Virlanie provide the babies and toddlers with 3 nutritious meals every day. A PhP 65 donation is enough to feed 1 baby for a day.
