Icebergs Restaurant is the first place me and my mom will definitely rush to whenever we crave for halo-halo and chilled desserts. Its casual dining setup makes it easier for us to just relax and enjoy our “merienda”. The restaurant was first known to be a dessert place and an ice cream parlor, with halo-halo and ice cream-based desserts as the bestsellers. The owners had to eventually expand their Icebergs menu to offer customers a full dining experience.
Icebergs Super Halo Halo (PhP 98). Mom’s favorite. A cool concoction loaded with toppings of the finest ingredients – 2 scoops of ice cream, leche flan, macapuno, gulaman, nata de coco, kaong, beans, and topped with corn flakes. Why wait for summer? You can have this all year ’round.
Strawberry Mango con Hielo (PhP 128). My toddler is extremely fond of mangoes. This strawberry and mango treat is both refreshing and healthy.
Hungarian Sausage and Mushroom Carbonara (PhP 188). My Icebergs visit won’t be complete without this dish – satisfying fettuccine pasta with Hungarian sausage, mushroom, tossed in Icebergs garlic cream sauce. The smoky and spicy Hungarian sausage complements the mellow garlic flavor of the sauce.
Icebergs Palabok Special (PhP 148). This palabok meal stays true to its Pinoy roots – Filipino rice noodles topped with shrimps, tasty pork, sliced eggs and crunchy chicharon. It’s surprisingly very flavorful and filling. They have large servings so your every penny’s worth it. I have to try Icebergs Famous Sisig and Chocolate Chips Parfait on my next visit. 🙂
